A CAMOUFLAGED MONDEO test mule has been spotted in Europe this week, with the previously-visible tail lights now camouflaged across the boot-lid section, suggesting a rear-end tweak will join the front-end facelift. It's hard to discern any major details underneath the black taping on this prototype's nose and rear, but it's clear that the upper grille has been narrowed, while the bumper intakes are likely to take on styling more in-line with the 2011 Focus

DESPITE FEARS that recent high prices would continue to rise with no end in sight, a new price war between fuel retailers has seen the cost of petrol easing in the past week. While wholesale prices have climbed to around 121 cents a litre, the average national price for unleaded petrol on Friday was 128.8 cents. Motorists in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane had the best deal last week, with prices in most areas at or below 121 cents a litre.
